THE FIRST SHOW IS COMING THIS SATURDAY

Two great places I've visited with the Tampa Bay On Demand Cameras are on my BEST OF list. Aquaknox, (lounge pictured below) and the Sioux City Steakhouse, on Little Road, in New Port Richey.

Their menus couldn't be more different, but they both sparkle, and excel at what they do. Aquaknox is a multimillion dollar feast for the eyes as well as the palate. It's located on the first floor of the elegant Westin Hotel on the Tampa side of the Courtney Campbell Causeway. Top quality, top shelf, with a unique twist on it all.

Sioux City Steakhouse offers a completely different experience. Inside, it has a comfortable country feel, with a blazing grill, generous servings, awesome appetizers, and a price structure that won't have you stopping by the bank for loan on your way there. Affordable and amazing. And that's just the first two letters of the alphabet. Sioux City Steakhouse Co-Owner John Lee was the first official sponsor to come aboard with my WINING AND DINING show, and I am proud to have him here. Tune in this Saturday when he joins us just after 5:30 pm on News Talk 820 AM, WWBA.

(Sioux City wood fired grill. Over 700 Degrees. That's HOT!!)

Also on the show, another one of my initial sponsors, the Tampa Improv. If you haven't been to this local Comedy Institution in YBOR city, Click on their Banner on this page, check out their website, pick a show, and get ready to go out, for a good time.

Kevin Brennan has been on Letterman, Conan, and 2 seasons on Saturday Night Live. He also won the prestigious Aspen Comedy Festival in 2005. Funny, funny guy. Appearing now through Sunday. Call 813-864-4000 for tickets. E-mail me to win tickets at mikereevesproductions@gmail.com!

Since the Show and Website are still in "preview mode", look for exciting changes to be coming almost daily. For instance, the SPECIAL OFFER page will soon be full of super discount information on great restaurants and entertainment venues, as well as FREE GIVEAWAYS!

Antonio's Pasta Grill, in Tampa and Clearwater, will be there very soon. Don't wait for special information to go there though. Antonio's is always affordable and awesome.

Also coming soon to the SPECIAL OFFER page is one of the best BBQ Places in Town. Smoke, in Tampa. Be looking for a "SMOKIN" good deal from them, soon!

LATITUDES-SEE IT NOW ON BRIGHT HOUSE CHANNEL 340

On Thursday, July 16, I headed west to Madeira Beach and hooked up with C.J., the self proclaimed, and darn well accurate "best food photographer on the planet", at Latitudes.

The place is brand spanking shining new, and it's owned by a family group of long time beach restaurateurs  who put their collective heads together and came up with a kind of "dream beach bar restaurant."

To get the rest of the story, make sure you watch Bay News 9 Saturday July 25.  Dining Out With Mike Reeves airs at 53 past the hour, every hour, 12 times in a row, starting at 6:53 in the morning. Each segment is about 90 seconds long.  The following Monday, we post a much longer version on Tampa Bay On Demand Channel 340 on your Brighthouse Digital Cable.

I don't want to give much away, but, if you plan on heading to Latitudes before the piece airs, and by all means, though they;re already rocking, they'll welcome your business, one thing you've got to try, are the Conch Fritters.  They are bursting with Meat.  Most conch fritter's I've ordered over the years have been bursting with corn meal. Latitudes Fritters are way more than a cut above.  If you're already a fan of this crunchy moist seafood appetizer, you're in for a real delight.

GREAT DINING BOAT TRIP

I fell in love with this place the minute I saw their dock, pictured at right.

Cafe Dufrain is on Harbor Island, in Tampa. On a calm day, I can put my 20 foot Baja Islander in the water at the Gandy boat ramp, and, running at 35 MPH all the way, make the 15 mile or so trip in about a half an hour.

(I love Baja Boats
.  Thunder Marine in St. Pete has the franchise, and they will treat you like you're royalty. )

The restaurant itself has a Disney World Feel to it. By that, I mean, it's got that clean, architectural style both in the landscaping and building that is so prevalent in and around Mouse Land. The food, is mostly light, refreshing, healthy, and mildly fancy. Classy is a great word for Cafe Dufrain, but not necessarily Pricey.

On most Saturday afternoon trips with my wife, and 11 year old son, we spend around 50 bucks. Three meals, a couple of cocktails, and smiling faces.
